Career Highlights: Amanda was the number two setter for the 1997 team...she played in 25 matches, recording 94 assists, 27 kills, five aces, 59 digs and 11 blocks...late in the season, Deerhake was moved to outside hitter in an attempt to solidify that position...at Marshall, on November 4, Deerhake recorded nine kills in 28 attempts, three assists, 18 digs and three block assists from that outside hitter’s position...as a sophomore, Deerhake was third on the team with 71 assists while playing in one third of the Colonels’ matches...she was moved from right-side hitter to setter as a freshman and recorded 19 assists versus SEC powerhouse Arkansas at the Iowa Hawkeye Classic...graduate of New Knoxville High School...led her high school to a 1995 district championship and an Ohio Division IV No. 4 ranking.
